Dolce & Gabbana at the Teatro la Scala: the temple of opera had never hosted a catwalk show before but, at the end of January, the famous designer duo presented their haute couture collection for the spring-summer 2015 season in the foyer of the famous opera-house in Milan.

This exceptional, maximum security event for the chosen, very rich, privileged few – it seems that several Russian clients and buyers attended, including Muscovite top buyer, Alla Verber, of the Mercury Group – was a dream come true for Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana. As expected, the theme of the catwalk show (which showcased 64 garments, all exclusives, complete with precious jewels) was a tribute to art.

Pietro Parisi, the Farmer Chef who is bringing the flavors of Campania to the world

Palma Campania is a small village in Southern Italy, between Naples, Avellino and Salerno, a tiny dot that shines, however, on the map of Italy thanks to the talent and creativity of Pietro Parisi, a young chef who was born here and where, in 2005, he opened his restaurant, Era Ora, where stars and heads of state have sat at his tables, from Nicolas Sarkozy, accompanied by his wife, Carla Bruni, to Hugh Laurie, the star of “House”.  Pietro is also known as the Farmer Chef  because, in his dishes, he uses produce from his own land, a very fertile area situated between the Avellino valley and the valley of Vesuvius, the Terra Felix of Campania as it was defined in the 80s, when it was one of the biggest producers of walnuts, hazelnuts and, above all, vegetables cultivated by the farmers that Pietro knows personally.

Milan, 2015: a year of celebrations featuring Fashion, Art and Culture

The Maison Armani will be 40 years old and Milan will be opening its doors to the Expo.

2015 is a decisive year for Giorgio Armani and for Milan, ‘his’ city, and the place that ,as the fashion designer told the Italian magazine Corriere Economia,“welcomed and understood me and that, with its contrasts and discreet silences, has long inspired me.”  In fact, this year the Maison Armani will be 40 years old, while Milan will be opening its doors to the Expo, the universal exhibition that, from May 1st to October 31st 2015, will host the biggest diet and nutrition event ever held.  What better occasion for inaugurating the Armani Silos, the fashion house’s archive-museum in which Armani has invested 50 million Euros, that will also be a photographic archive, an exhibition venue and an arts and culture center for scholars and lovers of fashion?  A place that Armani dreams will be like “my own all-white Tate Gallery “.
